В Бразилии < с > четверга 18 января введен запрет на компьютерные игры Counter-Strike и Everquest, так как они провоцируют насилие и "вредят здоровью потребителей", сообщает AFP. Эти игры должны быть удалены со всех компьютеров, на которые они были установлены, в ином случае их владельцу придется выплачивать ежедневный штраф в размере трех тысяч долларов США, пишет сайт Gotfrag.com.
Запрет на эти игры был утвержден Федеральным судом Бразилии еще в октябре 2007 года, но его введение было отложено. По словам судьи Карлоша Альберту Симоеша, Counter-Strike и Everquest провоцируют "нарушение общественного порядка и представляют собой угрозу для демократического государства, закона и общественной безопасности".
По данным сайта Gotfrag.com, федеральное агентство по защите прав потребителей "Прокон" начало арест всех копий этих игр в штате Гояс, а также разослало предупредительные сообщения по компьютерным клубам штата. По словам владельца одного из них, его клуб понесет большие финансовые потери, так как все установленные версии игр – лицензионные, а Counter-Strike – самая популярная игра в любом компьютерном клубе.
